Persona - Zero Knowledge Identity Blockchain

Persona is representing a solution for identity management, in line with the latest data protection rules. The scope is to empower customers and give them control over their personal data as well as the means to secure access to their personal details.
By using Persona, individuals spend less time updating data and their service providers can access the latest version of customer data.

 This issue explains the challenges faced by various organizations in Indonesia relating to their KYC processes and solutions proposed by Persona. Persona represents a blockchain-based identity management solution that allows individuals to easily update their shared data with various third parties as well as mitigate the efforts of corporate clients to keep their data up-to-date.

technology to offer secure and complete identity solutions. This product in harmony with GDPR requirements and provides a secure way to store, share, and in a single process data.

 Context

 Every day, millions of individuals share personal data with various parties, starting
from using cloud providers or smartphones with active localization options and advanced to their respective relationships with their respective service providers.

 Each individual is the owner of their de facto data. Therefore, in order to have access to the service or device, they must explicitly agree to share it. The party was entrusted with this kind of data should take all the necessary measures to protect me but In the past year there were many problems when large companies collect data about individuals, failed to handle them properly. Often, this data
ends in the hands of hackers. For example, in 2017, Equifax, a large consumer
credit reporting agencies in the US hacked, and more than 143 million social security
numbers are compromised.

 In the EU, data protection is taken very seriously and exists
regulations in place that enforce data protection policies on personal data. The scope of this rule is to keep individuals in the driver's seat, to offer a means so that the individual can decide what he or she shares with whom and what reasons to grant access to such personal details.

Persona represents a solution for identity management, in line with the latest data protection regulations. The scope is to empower individuals and give them control over their personal data as well as the means to secure access to their personal details.

 Persona's mission and vision are:

  • To leverage the identity of management services for individuals based on blockchain technology can offer;
  • To protect individual personal details. Though obviously it is individuals need to provide them with details to various entities (Facebook, Google or any website they visit), they have no control afterwards to share. Persona put the individual back into the driver's seat;
  • To empower everyone and to give them power on what it is to share and with whom it comes about their personal identity and details;
  • To enable entrusted third parties who with personal details to enrich their services by offering trust as service;
  • To prevent false news, by providing a decentralized identity management system, Persona will give us a level of trust need when we rely on news; based on the public Persona profile of any creator, we can track the news to their source
  • To simplify the onboarding process because individual powers are already issued by some people listed in the system;


Blockchain Design Technology
The Persona Blockchain represents a DPoS system with 51 delegates making 5 6 uses of Ark technology (Persona is ARK fork, following ARK vision about point.click.blockchain approach). The number of delegates has been set to 51 to support the approximate number of nodes and transactions for the first year.
Persona will use Distributed Ledger Technology to manage user permissions, approval transactions and identity proofs. We will deploy our own blockchain, called The Persona Blockchain.
